Lorenzo Vecce
was born in 1976. He started studying Medicine as his father did, after 4 years he decided to stop his studies and his dreams took him to land in Milan following his strong passion for creativity and developing an incredible sense for 3D.
He has always been passionate for photography too.
At 29, after a 3 years course he graduated with dinstiction in “Virtual Design”(CGI) at IED(European Istitute of Desing), Milan obtaining as well a merit scholarship.
He started working as modeller immediately. First in “Fulmini&Leopardi”, (Pisa) working in an european co-productin (RAI Fiction,Ellipsanime,Toposodo srl) for “Birds’ Band” a TV serie.
At 30 he moved to Rome joining “CartoonOne” a company based in the Cinecitta Studios. Here has worked in a great deal of productions undertaking differents roles up to Modelling Supervisor.
In 2007 he had an exciting adventure modeling the 3d classic black cat for Felix The Cat (USA). He was also responsible for the technical study on the 3d model and the modelling phase, finalized in New Jersey with Mike and Don Oriolo.

In 2008 at 32, in a need of new challenges and opportunities, he moved to London looking for a job in Soho area but the fate has wanted that he moved again just three weeks after, this time to Scotland. He started up his career as an international modeller working one year as Senior Modeller in “Glasgow Animation” (Glasgow) on their CGI animated feature film “Sir Billi“, a Sean Connery’s co-production.
Now he is a freelancer and he is working as Modelling Supervisor for Studio SUMATRA, Viareggio (Italy) and is also the 3D Consultant and artist for CRIM-Lab (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna). He is following different european projects. CRIM LAb is a leader in the research and development of bio-inspired and/or bio-applied micro- and nano-robots and systems.
He is still looking for new terrific challenges.
